Hello. I'm a studio artist and freelance writer, working between Sydney, Taipei and Bermagui (a small fishing village on Yuin country, East Coast Australia).

Through drawing, painting and installation work, I document landscape and portrait subjects. I write about Australian visual culture and national identity, most recently for Meanjin Quarterly and Runway Experimental.

My permanent open studio on Bermagui’s main thoroughfare offers a direct public engagement with my practice. From this space, I oversee a creative co-working and exhibition space, and operate a popular (and occasionally controversial) espresso bar.

Recently, I returned from a 2-month tenure as artist-in-residence at Bamboo Curtain Studio in Tapei, as an Australia Council grant recipient. I'm currently working on illustrations for an upcoming book to be published by Little Hare. I'm also preparing works for two 2018 solo exhibitions in Sydney: at 107 Redfern and May Space.
